Job Description :-
 
Experienced Oracle DBA for OLTP RAC VLDB (very large database)
Must have a minimum of 8 years general oracle database administration experience
Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as an ORACLE DBA for ORACLE RAC 11G in a SUN Solaris environment. 
Must be very experienced in Oracle RAC 10G and 11G database administration
Must have experience with administration of a live 10 and 11G RAC production database
Must have extensive experience in Oracle 11G Performance tuning at the instance level and application level Must have experience with Sun OS level commands to diagnose system issues.
Must have extensive experience with Oracle performance tuning for a RAC Very Large OLTP database pver 1 TB in size
Must have experience with Oracle Very Large Databases (VLDB) of at least 1TB or more.
Must have extensive experience in RAC Oracle Database performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Must have a solid understanding and experience of Oracle Partitioning in 10 and 11G.
Must have strong UNIX skills and shell scripting and ORACLE tools (sqlloader, export, import),
Must have experience working with developers.
Must have experience using Erwin to generate DDL
Experience with implementing Oracle security features such as encryption and VPD- virtual private database is a plus.
Must be self motivated and able to multi-task in a team environment.
Must be able and willing to document all procedures and share with the team.
Must be very flexible and be able to respond to changing priorities and urgent last minute deadlines.
This position will carry an on call rotational pager for 7x24 support.
Must have strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, and able to follow-through with various projects.
Must have excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate with users.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :-

Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering/Science or related field or equivalent business/technical experience.  Oracle Certification is a plus.
